Zack’s friend Dean disagrees and bets on Zack to turn a girl from school to prom queen in six weeks. Zack accepts, and Dean chooses Laney. A clumsy and unpopular art student Boggs, Zack tries to make friends with Laney. But she resolutely ignored his progress. until he asked her for help in the arts. She reluctantly invited him to the small theater lounge where she would perform. Laney wants Zack to perform on stage to thwart him. Zack was able to improvise into a routine using the hacking sack he was carrying. Laney was impressed with the performance. But later rejects him again when he tries to hypnotize her when Zack shows up at her home. Laney reluctantly agrees to go to sea with him. Zack’s friends unexpectedly show up there. And after spending the day with her Taylor invited her to a party that night. Laney pretended to be busy, but Zack convinced her to go.
