Synopsis after a night of drunken partying. University student Theresa “Tree” Gelbman wakes up on her birthday in classmate Carter Davis’ dorm room. She ignored the phone call from her father and drove Carter back into her room. Her housemate Lori Spengler gave her a cupcake. which she threw away Tree meets her married professor, Gregory Butler, with whom she is having an affair that night, on her way to a party. Lured into a tunnel and killed by the masked body of the school’s mascot, Tree immediately wakes up in Carter’s bed. Confused, she reminisced about the new day.
