Emily Ratajkovsky and Wes Bentley follows a young Los Angeles DJ trying to make it into the music industry and living with his friends, telling the story of Cole Carter (Zac Efron). A former music star, dropping out of college and struggling 23-year-old DJ in electronic band (EDM), dreams of becoming a major music producer, Cole booked a DJ show at a local nightclub. where he meets headliner James Reed (Wes Bentley), an innovative DJ once used. James invites Cole to the party. Cole was hallucinating because the joints they shared contained phencyclidine (PCP) the next morning. Cole wakes up at James’ house. where he meets Sophie (Emily Ratajkovsky), James’ girlfriend, and a personal assistant who drives him home. Later, James calls Cole to DJ at a house party. which is a paid job, friend of Cole Dustin Mason (Jonny Weston), Ollie (Shiloh Fernandez) and Squirrel (Alex Shaffer) show up, and after the Mason insults at the party. Mason had an argument with him and had to be pulled out of James’ pool. Despite his background and friends, James saw potential in Cole and took him as a student.
